Milk Might Actually Be So Bad For You That It Leads To Dying Younger

Milk’s healthy reputation has been called into question by Swedish researchers who have found that drinking milk might not only increases the risk of breaking bones, but also of dying young.

The team from Uppsala University studied the diets of 61,400 women, ages 39 to 74, for 20 years and 45,300 men, ages 45 tp 70, for 11 years, Metro News reports.

Researchers then monitored how many participants fractured bones and died in the years to follow.

The women who drank more than three glasses of milk a day were more likely to fracture bones than those who drank less milk, and also made up a larger percentage of the participants who died.

The participants self-reported their milk consumption, and over a 10-year period, 180 out of 1,000 women who drank three or more glasses of milk a day died.

Out of the women who drank one glass or less, 110 out of 1,000 died.
